Chapter 5: Navigation Six days had passed since the Challenger departed from Sailmark and Robin was no closer to trusting the people with whom he was working. But it did not matter, that's not why he was here. The only real comfort he found was knowing that the captain also did not trust Ghost. Robin stood on the deck, looking out towards the endless sea as the Challenger plowed through huge waves and heavy swells. During his entire time on this trip, he only interacted with Ghost when passing down orders to his men. He knew that Ghost had been true to his word many times, but with the terrorist's reputation, not to mention the mercenaries onboard, he had every reason to keep his guard up whenever he was near them. A female mercenary with long black hair ran up to Robin, catching his attention. “Sir, Ghost has requested your presence in navigation.” Speak of the devil. Robin sighed to himself before turning his attention back to the mercenary. “Thank you, I’ll be there right

Chapter 4: The S.S. Challenger Sailmark, a coastal city in Jumi renowned for being the center of trade in the entire kingdom. The marketplace was bustling with activity which made it difficult for Robin to properly make his way through the crowds to find the docks. “Where is his ship supposed to be?” An older frozlandian man bumped into him by accident as he tried to pass through the crowd. “Oh, pardon me sir.” “Excuse me.” Robin quickly glanced at him and realized that the man was a Unity, and not only that-he was one of the superiors of the jumian division. The Unity then turned towards him and squinted his eyes. “Say… are you a Unity by any chance?” Robin could feel sweat running down the side of his face. “Uh… no, I’m sorry, I think you’re mistaking me for someone else.” “Oh. Right. Of course.” Robin continued to make his way through the crowd, but the Unity continued to watch him as if he truly recognized him. “It has to be him…” Robin finally arrived at the docks,

Chapter 1: Ghost Town Another slow Tuesday evening for the tour guide as she waited for the history video to end in boredom. As if things were not bad enough, she was still recovering from a tiring family reunion the other day. She mustered up a professional smile as she turned towards the guests. “Which brings us to the next part of our tour. If you will be so kind as to follow me our next exhibit is just right outside.” The crowd rose from their seats and followed the tour guide outside, entering a long hallway crowded with displays of large dinosaur fossils and the other guests staring up at them in awe. The hallway dedicated to ancient life was filled with reconstructed dinosaur skeletons, and the walls were painted with dinosaur murals. The museum itself was part of the Jumian palace, but it was a hotspot for tourists and locals alike, and most of the time the palace itself was reserved only for events like public trials, conferences, and board meetings. Despite the

Albert Einstein “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” George Orwell Introduction Much of Ainrann’s history is forever shrouded in mystery, having been forced to meet their demise to the power of time. In recent centuries, the world of Ainrann has witnessed a remarkable rise in advancement among several different civilizations. The planet was home to a variety of races and factions that came in all shapes and sizes. Some chose to live in isolation while others chose to live in futuristic cities where technology is abundant. When an empire of humans fell, the people fled their home and settled on three small continents, and there, they reorganized themselves into the Three Kingdoms. The first kingdom was the desert continent of Jumi, named after its first queen. Specializing in trade with other nations throughout Ainrann, Jumi was the most

CW - Emotional Triggers He knew the captain had meant for him to take the day off entirely, but when he returned to his apartment, the light on his answering machine was blinking. The message was from Louise Green: “Hello, I would really love to talk with you in person, if you’re available. I’ve only got a short window today, so please call me back as soon as possible. Thanks.” “She’s very succinct,” he muttered to himself, picking up the receiver. He felt a pang of regret on the captain’s behalf, but dialed the number anyway. The first person to pick up was Mr. Green. “Mr. River! Good to hear from you again! Louise has been going stir-crazy; she’s insisting on seeing you today while nobody else is home.” “That’s fine,” River assured him. “Is she available now?” “Oh, yes,” Mr. Green replied. “She quite literally hasn’t stopped pacing since leaving the message.” “Let her know I’ll be over in a few,” said River. Mr. Green was just backing out of the drive in his own car when

A hot shower seemed very much in order, which he proceeded to take at an exceptionally leisurely pace. This combined with the after effects of a hearty dinner left him comfortably sleepy, so he took advantage of the circumstances by going straight to bed. Much to his relief, he passed the night free of dreams and woke feeling more refreshed than he’d felt in a long while. After some instant oatmeal he found in one of the cabinets, he dressed and prepared to go down to Georgia’s just after ten. Upon opening his door, however, he was surprised to be confronted again with Mabel Gillis, who had been just about to knock. “Oh, I’m sorry; am I interrupting?” “No, I was just about to head to your mother’s,” he replied, resting against the door frame. “Did you need something?” “Well, yes.” Mabel stared at the floor, far more subdued than she had been last night. “I… I need to apologize. For yesterday. I was very… short with you, and I was being insensitive.” This unexpected gesture made him

Chapter 4 We just stood there, listing to the hum of the AC unit. I could feel the warmth of the tears on my cold cheeks. All the while, Guses expression didn’t change. His mouth was wide open and his eyes were almost bulging out of his skull. I don’t know how long we stood there. Maybe it was that sicking feeling. as I slowly fell deeper and deeper into that dark pit of the back of my mind. Almost felt like i could have just passed out. Yet his words knocked me out of this stupor.” When did this happen?” ” Yes…. yesterday… She pulled into my…. my driveway… Claim… claimed she was… some kind of… of… Debt collector.. and…. i…. I failed…. failed to respond to… their notices… guess they are using… well… computers to send it out.. and well…” His eyes nearly popped out of his skull as he gritted his teeth.” Ok that is some bullshit.” I winced,” but… ehh.. is” ” She is playing you.. I know those type of people. Let me guess, she didn’t even give you forms to file for
